Eligibility
- At least one shareholder aged 18 or above with a valid ID or passport.
- A company name that is not already reserved or registered.
- A physical business address in Rwanda.
Documents to prepare
- National IDs or passports of all shareholders and directors.
- Signed articles of association.
- Business activity code (ISIC) for your main activity.
- Power of attorney if someone registers on your behalf.
Why requests get rejected
- Company name already taken or too similar to an existing one.
- Articles of association unsigned or missing a shareholder.
- Names that do not match the national ID or passport exactly.

Decide on a company name, business activity code, and shareholding structure before starting.
Have national IDs (or passports) of all shareholders and directors ready to upload.
Sign in to the portal with the account registered in your own names. Complete registration
Open Business > Company registration. Fill each section and upload signed articles of association.
You receive the Certificate of Incorporation and TIN by email under reference IZI-RDB-CERT within one working day.
Attach every required document as a clear PDF or photo under 10 MB.
